U.s. and royal thai sailors participate in the tug-o-war during sports day at nong prue municipality sports field

NONG PRUE, Thailand (May 19, 2011) Seaman Daniel Williams and a Royal Thai Navy sailor participate in the tug-o-war during Sports Day at Nong Prue Municipality Sports Field. Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46), the guided-missile destroyer USS Howard (DDG 83), and the guided-missile frigate USS Reuben James (FFG 57) are participating in Sports Day, a Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Thailand 2011 event. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
