BJC Health Information Management(HIM) provides HIM support for our BJC Hospitals such as the BJC Scanning Center, Soarian Master Person Index, HIM Application Business Support and other related functions. Role Purpose Responsible for leading the Enterprise HIM Application Support Team in providing application and end user support for the business functionality usage of HIM enterprise applications. This management position is responsible for the daily operations of the enterprise HIM Application Support Team which provides specific services to all BJC Health Information Management (HIM) departments Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Manages operational support to enterprise-wide health information management department usage of HIM enterprise applications such as the Horizon Patient Folder, the 3M/HDM application and computer assisted coding. Presents process improvement opportunities to HIM Management that streamlines HIM processes and workflows through utilization of HPF, 3M/HDM and associated applications Identifies/recommends HIM process or operational areas requiring redesign or improvement, develops project plans, facilitates meetings to accomplish the identified tasks, and documents and builds project outputs/workflows Maintains and develops process maps of existing and future state processes using appropriate techniques and software. Develop and execute work plans for enterprise-wide coordination of HIM process redesign activities and building of associated workflows within HIM enterprise applications.
