Wouldn?t it be nice if you could access your movie collection while you were on the go? Dave and I have a fantastic collection of movies that we started years ago. Whenever we travel we try to figure out how to best pack up a few movies to watch on the road, in the sky, or at our destination.
But packing up the movies means saving room in the suitcase for them and trusting the a Blu-ray or DVD player will be there or even work when we arrive. We also don?t have a portable DVD player for the car or plane so we always toss back and forth the idea of whether we should finally break down and buy one.
That?s why when we heard about Ultraviolet Movies we were intrigued.
Ultraviolet is a free online service that allows customers to store all of their movies ?in the cloud? and then access them anywhere, anytime, across a variety of devices including iPhones and iPads and other smartphones and tablets. You can also share your collection with up to six members of your household.
We recently got a Blu-ray, DVD, and Ultraviolet version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
I created an Ultraviolet account by signing up through Flixster first. Then I redeemed the code for the Ultraviolet copy of the movie.
It only took a minute or two to create the account and redeem the code and now we can watch The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in any number of ways including:
- On a DVD player
- On our Blu-ray player
- Downloaded to our computer
- Streaming through Flixster
- On our iPhones
- On our iPad
- On GoogleTV (which is on our one day wish list)
So many choices!
Using the Flixster app on our iPad, it was easy to find The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and start watching.

I was really impressed by how quickly it loaded and started playing. The picture and sound were both very crisp and clear as well. Here?s a short video of the movie loading and the first couple of seconds so you can see how smoothly it plays:
I?m excited about Ultraviolet movies and think it?s wonderful to have so many ways to watch the movies we purchase.
That?s why I?m excited to offer the giveaway below!
